The Best Pizza in the Country.

Pizzeria Bianco. The Pizzeria Bianco that has been claimed to be the best pizza in the country. We finally got to experience this one wonder of the state. We were determined. Our BFF is moving to Colorado {boo} but this was the one place he wanted to try before he left. {yay}

He did all the dirty work for us. He showed up at 4 o'clock, stood in line until they opened at 5 o'clock, put our name down on the list and our reservation time was about 7:15. That was the time we arrived. Easy, for us anyways. {thanks b}

We sat down at one of the 10 tables they had, okay maybe they had 15. We looked at the menu and ordered 4 of the 6 pizza's they had. This may be the only time we ever get to this place, so we made it worth our while.

We waited, and waited, and watched as the man behind the scene was making pizza and throwing them in the brick oven. Rumor has it there is only one man who makes the pizzas, the owner. (although, he didn't look like the guy in the video, so he may have finally hired another pizza builder to give him a break once in a while)

The pizza finally arrived. It looked fantastic.

I was in love at first bite.

The Biancoverde was it's name and mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, ricotta, arugula and garlic was its game. The flavors were magnificent. It was like an explosion of yummy goodness right in my mouth.

The second one I tried was the Rosa. Red onion, parmigiano reggiano, rosemary, pistachios. Yes, pistachios. What in the world? How did he come up with these combinations and why must you wait 4 hours to sit down at his restaurant.

I would eat here every weekend if I had the time, but I don't. I'm usually not into hype, but this is definitely the best, different kinda pizza, I have ever eaten. Don't just take my word for it, here is the clip from Oprah's show.
